Hi,
I ended up with one of the puppies from that big hoarding case in 2009. He was one of the 1 week old puppies that went to Furkidz. I made a short humorous video of his funny vertical leap...presenting Bodie

Hi there... well we do have a petfinder account. We just don't do that well adopting locally so most of our rescues are transferred to other shelters and rescues. What we always need the most help with is finding homes for cats and kittens. Because there is no shelter in Burns and we started this rescue over 3 years ago all of us are on cat overload now and with kitten season coming it will only escalate. If you have any outlets for moms and kittens I would appreciate that info. We try to hold a few local adoption events every year but never seem to have much luck placing only a few. I know I need to get a facebook account going...another challenge with that is if we were to find homes locally then we need to get them fixed and we can't afford the local vet so they need to be transported 130 miles to Bend. We do this for cats at least once a month but it all depends on the availability of funds and then someone to transport.

Hi Christianna...sorry I didn't get back to you sooner about your question. It really depends on what kind of small breeds you like. There are so many out there to choose from. I would suggest just getting online and researching some that you might be interested in and see which one best fits your lifestyle and fits into the family the best.

Deidre,

Sarah has found a home but when you find the time is right and want to try to adopt again please let me know. We usually always have great dogs needing homes!

Hi, I am a foster for furkidz911 and I took over fostering Widget about a month ago. Daisy looks alot like Widget. Through some chance encounters at the dog park I have come to believe Widget is part Formosa Mountain Dog. Do a search and note the behavioral characteristics. This info has helped me very much in understanding Widget's behaviors and needs. Thanks so much for the time and effort you are giving to Daisy. She looks like a little gem.

I'd like to post a photo of Neuryev (formerly known as Moogle) whom I adopted at HC Fair last week. He's doing great & has added a huge personality factor to my existing cat family of 3. He's Siamese & is talkative, plus cuddly. Thanks Michele, Angie, & Melanie!! How do I post it?? Thanks.

I visited your guys' booth at the fair and fell in love with and adopted your puppy Sarah. She is a very intelligent, loving, friendly puppy, but unfortunately I had to call you guys to take her back in as she seems to need a lot more one on one right now than I can give her with my work schedule. I wish I could have given her her forever home since I fell in love with her upon meeting. Possibly in the near future if you haven't found her a home yet and my work schedule evens out we can try again.
